Metrics & Alerts

The Metrics tab graphs what your server actually consumes — CPU, memory, disk, and network over time. The Alerts tab notifies you when something crosses a threshold.

  • Memory near the limit with lag spikes: raise the server’s memory (ask your administrator) or reduce view distance, plugins, and loaded chunks.
  • CPU pinned at 100%: a single-threaded game (like Minecraft) saturates one core; spread load or upgrade the node allocation.
  • Disk climbing steadily: logs and backups accumulate — prune logs/ and old backups (backups).
  • Compare against quiet hours: if usage is high with zero players, something (a farm, a runaway task, a leak) is burning resources.
  1. Open Alerts and create an alert for the metric you care about (for example, memory above 90% for 5 minutes, or server offline).
  2. Point it at a channel you actually read.
  3. Test it once — an alert you have never seen fire is a rumor, not protection.

Alert fatigue is real: alert on symptoms that need action (offline, disk nearly full), not on every wiggle.
