Tasks

The Tasks tab runs actions on a schedule — nightly restarts, automatic backups, timed messages — so you stop doing them by hand.

  1. Open Tasks and select Create Task.
  2. Choose the action: send a power signal (start/restart/stop), run a console command, or create a backup.
  3. Set the schedule (daily time or interval).
  4. Enable it. Disabled tasks are kept but never run.
  • Nightly restart: restart at 04:00 when nobody is online. Warn players with a preceding command task (say Restarting in 5 minutes) a few minutes earlier.
  • Daily backup: create a backup every night, and keep manual locked backups for milestones (backups).
  • Timed messages: broadcast rules or event reminders with say.
  • A task action runs with the same power as clicking it yourself — a scheduled stop really stops the server. Name tasks clearly.
  • If the panel or node is down at the scheduled time, that run is missed, not queued. Check the task’s last-run status after outages.
  • Over-frequent restarts annoy players and can corrupt worlds if they coincide with heavy saves. Daily is plenty for most servers.
